12th and 15th November 2012

Dancing With The Capitan

They were a few steps in the dance that I found tricky, however after practising it at home, I have improved my timing on the steps. Because this is an energetic dance, that my character enjoys I have a huge smile on my face thought the song, also when I am walking around the stage I walk with a spring in my step.

Waka Waka

We have only learnt a little bit of the Waka Waka dance however I do enjoy the dance. I picked up the steps really easily, because of this I was able to help other who were struggling. As the is the last dance of the show I feel like it is a celebration song.

Dairy - 12th November 2012

I have already learn't my lines of scene 2, this means when we were rehearsing this scene the audience were able to see my facial expressions and I could see how they reasoned to them. Today we went though scene 2, I think this scene still needs the pace to be speeded up this will make it funnier. We also went though scene 4 and scene 5. I am not in this scene so I used that time to make notes on my script. I also asked as an audience this is very import as it lets the other actors know what humour is coming across.

15th November 2012

Today we rehearsed the Waka Waka dance, and added on a few extra steps. We also blocked scene 3,4 and 5. I have learnt all my lines for scene 3 this made it easier of me to used my body to show that that the boat is rocking. I was given  some feedback from a few of my peers telling me that my voice wasn't loud enough, so I need to practise my projection and annunciation. I also acted as the audience while they blocked scene 4 and 5.
