Vocal Skills

During the show I need to project my voice, this is so that the audience can hear me even if they are right at the back. I also have to make sure I enunciate my words, so the audience can clearly hear what I am saying. If the audience are laughing or shouting out, I need to remember to speak loader or wait till they have quietened down.
Timing is very important while delivering lines. When the whole crew and Sarah say the line 'Ohh, we thought it was Zumba' We have to make sure that we all say it at the same time, because if we all speak over each other people won't be able to understand us. Also when i'm saying the line 'I think that fella in the middle is too'  It very important to deliver that line correctly, however I still haven't figured out the best why of saying it.
When I say 1,2,1,2 as if your riding a bicycle and when im shouldering arms them line's need to be spoke very loudly and very fast, as if we were in the army.

19th,21st and 22nd November

19th November

Today we block thought a few scene that I was not in. So I acted as an audition this helps other feed of the audience. I also prompted people with lines and give feedback so people knew what they had to improve on. We also added a few extra steps on to the Waka Waka dance.

21st November

Today we learnt the Gangnam Style dance, I helped a few people out with the steps because they were struggling. As I am not on that scene before the dance we had to work on how I walk on stage. At the start of the song me and Robbie gesture to each other that we do not want to be doing the dance and also make fun of the people enjoying it. However after a while we start to enjoy it. We also went though the mop scene, we changed on of the bit to Zumba rather than Rumba.

22nd November

Today we rehearsed Waka Waka and also Gangnam Style. We tried to rehearse the Dancing with the Capitan scene however it was hard as some of the cast was not present.

Update
I have decided to change my character a bit, I have decided that my character no longer has a crush on Robbie, this means I can focus more on being stupid.

Feedback

I received some feedback from my peers saying that I could be louder also that I should smile more during the dances.

12th and 15th November 2012

Dancing With The Capitan

They were a few steps in the dance that I found tricky, however after practising it at home, I have improved my timing on the steps. Because this is an energetic dance, that my character enjoys I have a huge smile on my face thought the song, also when I am walking around the stage I walk with a spring in my step.

Waka Waka

We have only learnt a little bit of the Waka Waka dance however I do enjoy the dance. I picked up the steps really easily, because of this I was able to help other who were struggling. As the is the last dance of the show I feel like it is a celebration song.

Dairy - 12th November 2012

I have already learn't my lines of scene 2, this means when we were rehearsing this scene the audience were able to see my facial expressions and I could see how they reasoned to them. Today we went though scene 2, I think this scene still needs the pace to be speeded up this will make it funnier. We also went though scene 4 and scene 5. I am not in this scene so I used that time to make notes on my script. I also asked as an audience this is very import as it lets the other actors know what humour is coming across.

15th November 2012

Today we rehearsed the Waka Waka dance, and added on a few extra steps. We also blocked scene 3,4 and 5. I have learnt all my lines for scene 3 this made it easier of me to used my body to show that that the boat is rocking. I was given  some feedback from a few of my peers telling me that my voice wasn't loud enough, so I need to practise my projection and annunciation. I also acted as the audience while they blocked scene 4 and 5.

7th and 8th November 2012

The Pantomine we are performing is Robinson Crusoe, I play Crew, I work on the ship with Robbie, Sarah and and the other crew.

My Impressions On My Character

My first impression of my character was that she was lazy, this is become in Robinson's first monologue he says 'it would be easier if my crew gave us a hand'. My character is also stupid she often misunderstands orders and jokes around a lot. Because of this I think my character is a comedic character, this will make the children laugh.

My Idea's About My Character

I thought it would be interesting if my character had a crush on Robbie, I could should thought my facial expressions and my body language. This would mean I was jealous of Princess Moonflower because they fall in love. So in scene 7 when Princess Moonflower arrives I will change my body language and facial expressions to show my jealous to the audience.

Dairy - 7th November 2012

Today we learn the Dancing with the Capitan dance. This dance starts the show, because of this we have to be very energetic and enthusiastic to grab the audience's attention. However learning the dance was kinda tricky as a few cast members were absent.

8th November 2012

Today we blocked scene thought scene 1,2 and 3 and learnt the basic's of the finally dance. During scene 1, I am lazing around on the deck. To show the audience that I have a crush on Robbie, I stare at him and fiddle with my hair. I found the mop scene complicated as it contained a lot of slap stick comedy and I found the choreography hard to remember. I played around with different voices and different way to hold my body.
